Karma always strikes back

USA introduced mandatory Value Engineering for each public sector infrastructure project above a specified budget to ensure each amount of the tax payer is spent judiciously. Even Saudi Arabia pursuing value Engineering to get more value out of public money spent. India had to incorporate a public procurement law to ensure value Engineering is carried out in all public sector infrastructure projects before funding. This might have shown

consolidate roads, railways, ports, civil aviation into one Ministry of Transport and have separate independent ministers for roads, railways etc as there is lack of integrated planning. Road investment have been prioritized at the cost of lack of investment in more environmental friendly railways, the minister of highways takes pride he constructed 40 kmsroad per day is this required. Are we going in completely wrong dire tion by prioritizing highways instead of railways and scrappage policy
