Bhopal Smart City has been envisioned as to be 24/7 activity based, thriving and energetic place where people will live work and play.
Under Smart City project BHOPAL SMART CITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION LIMITED (BSCDCL) has initiated a competition involving “CITIZENS” in the design of
Area-based development such as Streets, Junctions, and Parks etc.
The participants have to design and give the desirable situation (target). The design will be assessed by the BSCDCL on its do ability and innovation. The participants of the competition can be from any walk of life and may include citizens, students, technical experts, teachers and others.

“MAKE YOUR CITY SMART”- DESIGN PARK

This Design proposal is a combined effort by a daughter-mother duo of 13 yr old student Arushi and Deepa Agrawal, an Architect-Urban Designer. It is thus a collage of ideas emerged out of a young mind and inked by a design professional.
Arushi’s influences are drawn from her travelling, reading and most importantly her dream and vision of her city.
Thus, the conceptualization, features and innovation have entirely been a result of a child’s perception of her city and environs.

CONCEPT – CONNECT WITH NATURAL SURROUNDING
In order to implement the vision and design program I created a concept for the redesign of Saraswati Nagar park, Bhopal. based the concept on the fact that the existing park is partly unutilized and isolated today; hence we needed a concept that helped us to connect the park to its surroundings and define what activities and functions that will attract most visitors. It is an environment that encompasses the interaction of all living species.
